3 pitted dates, soaked or 1 tbsp agave nectar
2 ½ cups water
Place the almonds, dates and water in a blender and process until smooth. Place a fine mesh sieve or piece of muslin cloth over a mixing bowl and pour the almond mixture through it. Using a spatula press the almond mix so that you extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
Transfer the liquid to a sealed container and store in the fridge, it will keep for up to 5 days however it may separate so shake well before using.
Use to make a great flavored porridge or rice pudding.
